In 2005, Pastor Cherry began to sense a call to start a ministry after 13 years of experience from the first sermon he preached.  With prayerful consideration and ‘mountain sized’ faith, Pastor Cherry and wife, Annette made the decision to pursue the call of God to begin the ministry and that is when New Creation Christian Center was born.  

The emphasis of the name "New Creation Christian Center" was that once a person

gave their life to Christ, they were then a ‘new creation’. This name was indicative of a new start and a second chance to succeed in life.

Church History

  • June 12, 2005, New Creation Christian Center was officially born meeting at a residential home with 7 attendees.  

  • July 3, 2005, First official service at The Holiday Inn Express in Shelby, NC with 27 attendees.

  • August 28, 2005, New Creation moved to 1607 East Dixon Boulevard.

  • In early 2006, New Creation purchased 16 acres of land on James Love School Road.

  • In 2007, NCCC moved into the former Walls Memorial Church building on Masonic Drive.

  • November of 2010, moved to 414 Milsap Road.

  • October 2013- Construction began on our land that was purchased on James Love School Road

  • May 2014, we moved into our new worship facility.  108 James Love School Road
